Loss of Abdifatah Khalif Badiye and Mohamed M. Duale to the Mayhem that is Mogadishu

Reports are slowly emerging, as Friday prayers came to and end today confirming the number of people who succumbed to the deadly blast that rocked Mogadishu’s Central to be more than 10; Quite a contrast to the principals claimed by their perpetrators. Among the dead today (May God Bless their Soul) were a couple of good friends of mine who left Ontario Canada to serve their native country Somalia.

I remember Abdi-Fatah Khaliif Badiye to be a warm and humble descent human being, he was also a true somali and a member of the Khatumo Community in Toronto. Abdi-Fatah was a friend to all members of the Somali Community in Toronto and I would always remember his welcoming smile that was filled with a genuine desire to care and help anyone that needed his support.

I also remember Mohamed Ducale Muse (Hagi Coffee) who was a vibrant member of Ottawa’s Somali Community. From his days as an spiring enterpreneur as he welcomed to his “Coffee-shop to many in the Ottawa Somali Community. May God Bless their Souls. May Allah give strength to both Abdi-Fatah and Hagi Coffee and their respective family members.

We at Khatumo Community in Toronto would like to send our condolences to all those who lost their lives due to these explosions. These blasts clearly sent clouds of darkness in the skies of Mogadishu. Today’s incident will be forever engrained in the hearts and minds of all Free people in this Globe.
